Stop the SMART Board software service, delete the Board entries in the registry, and then restart the SMART Board software service to regenerate a Board entry.
Caution
Use caution when you open the Windows registry editor. If you incorrectly modify the Windows registry, you can damage your computer’s operating system. Back up your registry before performing the following procedures.
Important
Before you start, determine whether your computer has a 32-bit or 64-bit processor and whether User Account Control (UAC) is on or off.
To stop the SMART Board software service

Press the SMART Board icon in the notification area, and then select Control Panel.
The SMART control panel appears.

Press About Software and Product Support.

Press Tools.

Press Diagnostics.
The SMART Board Diagnostics window appears.

Select Service > Stop.
To delete the Board entries in the registry

Press the Start button, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
The Registry Editor window appears.

Browse to one of the following locations:
If your UAC is on and your computer has a 32-bit processor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\Machine\Software\SMART Technologies\SMART Board Drivers
If your UAC is on and your computer has a 64-bit processor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\Machine\Software\Wow6432Node \SMART Technologies\SMART Board Drivers
If your UAC is off and your computer has a 32-bit processor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SMART Technologies\SMART Board Drivers
If your UAC is off and your computer has a 64-bit processor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\SMART Technologies\SMART Board Drivers

Right-click the Board 1 entry, and then select Delete.
The Confirm Key Delete dialog box appears.

Press Yes.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all remaining Board entries (Board 2, Board 3 and so on), and then close the Registry Editor window when done.
To restart the SMART Board software service

Press the SMART Board icon in the notification area, and then select Control Panel.
The SMART control panel appears.

Press About Software and Product Support.

Press Tools.

Press Diagnostics.
The SMART Board Diagnostics window appears.

Select Service > Start.
